Process Manager

What will I be doing?
To lead and manage a process area to ensure that customer demands and requirements are
always met by realising the agreed manufacturing plan through the management of all
resources and performance levels.
• Ensure customer requirements are met through the achievement of MPS, the timely
resolution of conflicts, and the provision of all required information that may impact resource
availability or performance levels
• Produce and update relevant KPIs specific to the work centre
• Be responsible for the maintenance of the visual management boards
• Proactively manage a team of employees including performance management, appraisals,
time and attendance, disciplinary and grievance
• Carry out appraisals and play an active role in the team's development including providing
feedback on performance in a positive and constructive manner and identifying training
requirements to support the production process
• Conduct team meetings and team briefings
• Actively participate in production meetings with your peers
• Participate in cross-functional projects
• Provide training / advice / guidance to the manufacturing team as required
• Represent SAFRAN in the face of customers / trade bodies.
• Coordinate, set up and implement standard operating procedures for all production
operations
• Manage the adherence to prescribed procedures to ensure first pass quality meets or
exceeds planned goals
• Ensure standard manufacturing times are achieved
• Track competencies of subordinates and provide leadership and development as required to
achieve the objectives
• Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed
• Plan & meet SQCDP KPI's for the work centre
• Manage the performance & conduct of all employees in the work centre
• Ensure complete compliance to prescribed QMS, 6S processes
• Carry out responsibilities of an employee and manager as outlined in the Company's Health
and Safety Policy
• Ensure that safety inspections are carried out in the area and implement corrective actions
where necessary
• Carry out detailed accident investigations (when required), produce reports to a high
standard and implement robust corrective actions
• Consistently deliver quality products through the continued improvement of processes and
systems and by maintaining consistent operator self-inspection, systematic root cause analysis
and scrap and rework prevention measures
• Ensure the correct provision and utilisation of all required resources eg QC, ME etc.
• Drive, champion and maintain QRQC (continuous improvement & problem resolution)

Candidate skills & requirements What you need from me?
• Manufacturing experience from leading edge environments
• Lean Manufacturing Skills
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques
• Good general aircraft knowledge and experience of civil A/C nacelle structures
• Broad knowledge of metallic and composite materials
• Knowledge of SAP and S&OP processes
• Qualifications in (Engineering/Manufacturing) or equivalent experience.
• Team Player, ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines and maintain confidentiality
• Good analytical skills / planning experience
• First class persuasion, influencing and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication, presentation, inter-personal and IT skills
• Planning and organisational skills
